What is the significance of writing OBJECTIVE in your Resume?

Writing objectives are like things of the Past nowadays as they don't find any place in Modern resume. Objective is the brief penned by the applicant in his/her Resume about their goal and mission or sometimes destination in their professional road map.

But these days Objectives are found only on the Resume of  Freshers who are just starting afresh on their professional journey. Even these objectives also comes along with their first Resume format where they just put down their details and credentials.

So, what has made these objectives so insignificant in modern times even though we find so many articles of expert who emphasize on writing Objectives.

What does this signify??
 - has the Objective in one's professional life been lost and they are running blindly after something?
- have professionals found a common objective which needs not be mentioned as its same for everybody?
- do freshers also include Objective in their first Resume with the objective of increasing the content on their Resume?
- have the recruiters started working as worker working on assembly line products where they see each Resume or profile as a commodity?
- are the recruiters so burdened by these numerous Resumes that their eyes just does a cntrl + F for the keyword before selecting or rejecting the Resumes???

GLSV again failed!!!!!! fourth failure in seven attempts

One can think..........why the failure of GSLV is being discussed over here in this blog????

Is this not a matter of TALENT MANAGEMENT FAILURE ????????

I want to ask ...........WHY IS INDIA UNABLE TO PRODUCE WORLD CLASS PROFESSIONALS ANY MORE????????????????

This failure is deep rooted and debatable. Word goes round the world that INDIA is on the path of being the next SUPERPOWER. Which is true - our continuous failure on the WORLD MAP be in sports, to curb corruption, in giving strong reply to the regular terrorist attacks, in uplifting the infrastructure etc etc etc -- or the saying that "India is the Next Superpower" ????

The only reason to all the problems of India is our HUGE POPULATION and the MISMANAGEMENT of this HUGE HUMAN RESOURCE.

Whenever somebody like say..............SACHIN TENDULKAR achieves something exceptional we tag him or prefix him with the word PRODIGY.

Just by tagging him or somebody of that stature with the word prodigy or quoting them as exceptional achiever we distance ourselves with that achievement and stand in awe of that achievement and accept that we or nobody can achieve that.

Here is root cause of the problem. We Indians are FOLLOWERS, IMITATORS and we need to change to INNOVATORS.

We choose a forced life and not a self chosen life. We can experience this our whole life. We generally choose what others are running after without realizing whether they actually want it.

Do you know why SACHIN or people like him are such great achievers?????..........because they are doing what they love to do and not because "the future scope is good" or not because "you will earn great money" or not because "this work is of great repute" or not because "there is not much competition in this" and many more quotations that we here from all sorts of people when we are in stage of choosing our future course of action.

IT IS A MATTER OF DEBATE AND WE NEED TO CHANGE THIS IF WE REALLY WANT TO TURN OUR COUNTRY INTO A REAL SUPERPOWER!!!!!!!!!!!

Do we actually choose or just eliminate and what is left automatically is considered chosen???

There are few lingering questions that I would like every citizen of this COUNTRY to think, debate and understand.

What is the motive or the theory behind Performance Appraisal?

Recently somebody asked me this question during an interview to be answered in just two sentences...............................Do you want to know what my answer was??????????

It is the methodology or the tool to motivate employees by appraising or recognizing their achievements.

His reaction was like NO. It is a tool just to assess the employees on their set goals and we should not link it with the monetary or designation appraisal.

I would like to have different opinions on this question.
